Following are the major elements of communication process:

• The person starting communication and creating the message.
• Example: If you write a letter, you’re the sender.

#2. Message:

• Example: In a speech, your words are the message.

#3. Channel:

• The path through which the message travels, like the path of speech or writing.
• Example: When you talk, the channel is oral.

#4. Receiver:

• The person who receives the message and decodes it to understand the sender’s intention.
• Example: If you read the letter, you are the receiver.

#5. Feedback:

• The response from the receiver.
• Example: The message finally reaches the receiver, who decodes it, meaning that the receiver tries to understand the sender’s meaning. If the receiver sends back a response, it becomes feedback, completing the communication process.
