Definition of Organizational Behavior

Organizational behavior is the study of how people behave in an organization (एउटा organization मा मानिसहरु कसरी behave गर्छन् भन्ने कुराको study नै organizational behavior हो). This includes studying how people work together and how they communicate. It also looks at how people feel about their jobs and the company they work for. The goal of studying organizational behavior is to make the work environment better for everyone. By improving organizational behavior, companies can make their employees happy and more productive.

Contributing disciplines to the field of organizational behavior means the different areas of study that provide knowledge and understanding of organizational behavior. They are explained below:

सम्झनको लागि मात्रै : These areas of study are represented by एस् पि साप। SP S’AP मतलब Sociology (S), Psychology (P), Social-Psychology (S), Anthropology (A) & Political-Science (P)

एस् पि साप (SP S’AP), आफ्नो Police Force को Organizational Behavior को विभिन्न area of study मा ध्यान दिंदै।

1. Sociology: Sociology is the study of society as a whole. Society as a whole includes the relationships and interactions among groups of people. In organizational behavior, sociology helps us to understand how larger groups like teams and departments interact and work with each other. By understanding this kind of interaction, we can promote effective teamwork and communication in an organization.

2. Psychology: Psychology is the study of people’s behavior and their way of thinking. In organizational behavior, psychology helps us to understand why people behave in a certain way at their work and how they make decisions in their organizations. Leaders who understand psychology can understand employee behavior and improve their job satisfaction.

3. Social Psychology: Social psychology is the study of how people behave in social situations. It is the combination of sociology and psychology. In organizational behavior, It helps in explaining how individuals and groups behave in different situations in an organization. With the knowledge of social psychology, we can therefore understand how individuals interact with each other, how teams are formed, and how conflicts can be solved in the workplace.

4. Anthropology: Anthropology is the study different cultures and their impact on behavior. It helps in understanding the values, beliefs, and customs that shape organizational behavior. Anthropologists examine how cultural differences influence work behavior, how organizations adapt to different cultures, and how organizations can effectively manage a diverse workforce.

5. Political Science: Political science is the study of political institutions and systems. Political science examines power, influence, and decision-making in organizations. It helps in understanding organizational politics and power games. It helps us to understand how power dynamics, organizational politics, and leadership styles affect behavior and decision-making within organizations.
